How Does It Work?
Sculptra is injected underneath the skin to help restore its inner structure. As collagen production is stimulated, new strands will be made naturally, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Typically, patients will need an average of two to three treatment sessions during the course of a few months to see results. The number of injections given during each session will depend on the patient’s specific treatment plans.
Most patients will see results in as little as one month, and the results hold for up to two years. But again, this will depend on the specific treatment plan.
Following treatment, patients should follow the “5-5-5 Rule.” Massage the area surrounding the injection site for 5 minutes, 5 times per day for the next 5 days to help ensure even distribution of Sculptra.
